What do I need to know?
10DLC registration and vetting reflects an industry-wide movement towards supporting registered text messaging (SMS/MMS) traffic. The campaign registration and vetting processes ensure that business text messaging services using 10-digit phone numbers comply with the carrier policies and industry best practices. Text messages sent from a business phone number that is not associated with a campaign that has been approved is classified as unregistered and is subject to being blocked by the receiving party’s carrier.
What do I need to do?
The below form will allow you to submit the information needed to register your text messaging traffic to your business entity (known as a “brand”) and a campaign. While we understand this will take some time and effort, it is imperative the information is submitted completely and correctly as soon as possible in an effort to avoid your text messaging traffic from being blocked.
All laws and regulations regarding text messaging should be strictly adhered to and are the responsibility of the client and their users. If you are not familiar with these laws and regulations, we recommend that you contact your legal services provider for advisement.
One such aspect of this is a demonstration of compliance with how you obtain permission to send text messages to outside parties. A portion of the below form has to do with how that permission is obtained. If your current practices due not meet these requirements, you must immediately adopt them and the information submitted below must reflect your actual processes and procedures as well as meet the industry requirements. Some guidance and examples have been provided below to help with identifying some best practices and verbiage to use.
After the form has been submitted, a Synfone representative will review your submission and respond within 2-3 business days with any recommended changes or clear issues. Once the form has been finalized, it will be submitted by Synfone for 10DLC registration to The Campaign Registry (TCR) (the governing body for compliance). This approval process takes around 10 business days, but that timeframe varies. If your registration attempt is denied by The Campaign Registry, Synfone will notify you promptly so that you can resubmit your registration with the necessary changes. Please be aware, Synfone is including one resubmission attempt in the 1-time $50 registration fee. If additional registration attempts are necessary, you will be charged $15 per submission.
